All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process, ensuring impartiality and academic rigor. Each submission is evaluated by at least two external reviewers based on originality, methodological quality, relevance, and contribution to the field.

Journal of Research and Innovation in Education

Aims

The Journal of Research and Innovation in Education aims to promote the dissemination of high-quality scientific research that contributes to the understanding, analysis, and transformation of educational processes in diverse contexts. The journal seeks to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and advance knowledge in education through rigorous, innovative, and socially relevant studies.

It is committed to supporting research that bridges theory and practice, encourages critical reflection, and contributes to the development of educational policies, pedagogical strategies, and professional practices.


Scope

The journal publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, theoretical contributions, and case studies in the field of education and related disciplines. Submissions may address, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Teaching and learning processes across educational levels
  • Curriculum design, development, and evaluation

Guidelines for Contributors

REVISTA DE INVESTIGACIÓN E INNOVACIÓN EN EDUCACIÓN publishes:

REVISTA DE INVESTIGACIÓN E INNOVACIÓN EN EDUCACIÓN welcomes unpublished contributions that have not been approved for publication elsewhere, predominantly in Spanish and to a lesser extent in English. Published material is subject to a selection phase by the Editorial Committee, and accepted texts undergo a double-blind peer-review process before being approved for publication.

The journal is digital, without prejudice to the inalienable right of authorship of the work.

Characteristics:

1. Submissions must be written in letter size, Arial 12-point font, double-spaced, and sent as a Word file by email to info@centroinvestigacioninnovacion.com.

2. Each article must include a title of no more than 60 characters with spaces, an abstract in English and Spanish of no more than 700 characters with spaces, and five keywords. The bibliography must appear at the end of the article and must not include explanatory notes or footnotes.

3. A biographical note of the author of the article, no more than 700 characters with spaces, must also be included, mentioning the academic degree and place of study, lines of research, institution of affiliation, achievements, and main publications.

The Journal of Research and Innovation in Education publishes two issues per year with the most recent research results on different aspects of education. It has a pluralistic nature in terms of recognizing the diverse disciplines and theoretical and methodological perspectives adopted by each researcher or working group in the field of educational research, provided that it reflects rigorous research results and meets the criteria of relevance and relevance established by the journal. It is a publication for exchange and debate aimed at researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, specialists, and decision-makers related to the field of education.

Contributions must be original and unpublished articles. They must also meet the following criteria: good writing (spelling, clarity, coherent structure), relevant to the field of educational research (contributions, new theoretical or methodological perspectives, replicable in other contexts), and socially relevant (addresses current problems in education, alludes to broad social sectors or underserved social groups). For the Keys section: empirical research articles, with an explicit and rigorous methodology applied to the study; For the Horizons section: theoretical developments, contributions to discussion and debate, or systematization of educational experiences, with a solid theoretical foundation; and for the Reviews section: descriptive or analytical book reviews.
Originals must be submitted electronically and must be between 20 and 30 pages long (standard: Arial 12-point font, 1.5 line spacing, with 27-28 lines, 2,000 characters per page without spaces), that is, between 7,000 and 10,500 words (including tables, graphs, and references). Reviews must be of recent publications in education and must consist of 6 to 10 pages (2,100 to 3,500 words). Papers that do not meet the established minimum and maximum requirements and/or the characteristics detailed in points 3 to 9 of these guidelines will not be accepted (this technical review will be conducted within a period of no more than 4 business days).
The article must include an abstract of 100 to 250 words, including the article's objectives, methodology, and main results, as well as five to seven keywords, based on the "IRESIE Controlled Vocabulary," which can be found at www.iisue.unam.mx. The article title should be as brief and concise as possible. It should also include the name of the author(s), academic degree, institution, position, topics they work on, and email address, as well as the titles of two publications they wish to publicize.
The critical appraisal notes should be as concise as possible and should be numbered at the end of the article. They should not consist solely of bibliographic references.
Tables and illustrations should be used only to the extent necessary for the development and understanding of the text. They should be accompanied by the word "table" or "figure," with consecutive numbering, and always citing the source. Tables should be presented in text format, not as images.
All acronyms must be unlinked and explicit, at least the first time they appear.
Articles should include only bibliographical references, not a general bibliography. Authors should

o Presentation:

The articles will be submitted to a two-stage review process, during which the anonymity of the referees and the authors will be maintained. First stage: evaluation by the journal's Editorial Committee according to the criteria established in point 1 of these standards: clarity, relevance, and relevance, in addition to the journal's own interest in the subject (articles not accepted in this first stage will be informed of their rejection within a period of no more than 15 business days). Second stage: Texts that meet the above criteria will be sent for review by two specialists in the field (this process will take a maximum of 6 months). At each stage, the authors will be informed of the outcome of the review.
The journal verifies the originality of all articles that pass the internal review process, using Turnitin's iThenticate similarity detection software. In the event of authorship issues, in any form, the journal adheres to and follows the guidelines and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) http://publicationethics.org/
Authors agree not to submit their article to any other journal unless the Journal of Research and Innovation in Education expressly declines its publication. Articles with a percentage of overlap with another text by the same author exceeding 30 percent, nor articles whose content is available online (even in a format other than that of a scientific article), will not be accepted. After an article has been accepted for the second review stage, the undersigned person(s) may submit new materials for consideration by the journal after two years. Upon approval of their article for publication, they automatically assign the property rights to the publisher and authorize its publication in this Journal of Research and Innovation in Education in any of its media and dissemination spaces. The journal will allow partial or total reproduction of published texts for non-commercial purposes, provided that prior authorization is obtained from the editor and the author, and that the reproduction explicitly states that the article was originally published in Revista de Investigación e Innovación.
In editing the article, changes to length or style may be made as required by the journal's editorial policies, subject to prior consultation with the author.
